Primary Cross-Curricular eResource Sets: Salish Sea

The Salish Sea is a large inland sea shared by British Columbia and Washington State. It's named after the Coast Salish Peoples who have lived in this area for thousands of years and have used the water and land to survive.  This place is special because it's where the deep ocean meets the waters from the Coast Mountains and the Fraser River. The fast-moving water makes lots of plants and animals grow here including Orcas, Grizzly Bears, and Salmon.  There are many important things to think about when making decisions about this place because it's home to so many living things.
